Lydia is ONE!

It's here, my baby's year of firsts has come to an end. I've cherished every sweet moment this last year has brought. Lydia has filled our home with such happiness, her laughter and sweet spirit seems to brighten the faces of all who come in contact with her.

We were so happy to share her birthday with our families last Sunday. Lydia is a lucky girl to have so many family members who love her.

Right before the part she woke up in a grumpy mood, so she wasn't too thrilled at first. However, after she opened this present from Uncle Rhett she perked right up.

Uncle Rhett certainly spoiled her with her own pink 4-Wheeler! To say she loves it is an understatement! She has been sitting on it every spare minute since she opened it on Sunday. Mom and Dad got her a stroller and a baby doll. Guess what she did with the doll...yes she threw it on the ground. Lydia obviously prefers the 4-Wheeler haha. Well, I shouldn't be surprised. I never played with dolls either. I guess for Christmas I'll have to start looking for something with wheels. :)

Of course we let her eat her first cupcake! She loved it!

It's not a party unless friends get to come play too! Lydia and Claire both loved the 4-wheeler. Aren't they the cutest!!! We have so much with our girls.  I'm sure they will be riding together a lot in the future. (Photo credits go to Aunt Kami who also did a post on her blog about Lydia's birthday here).

She had so much fun with her birthday balloons!

Being this girl's Mom is such a blessing and privilege. I never knew how much I could love such a little person. What an incredible journey this past year has been. I wouldn't trade the sleepless nights, the car rides to get her to sleep, or all the stinky diapers for anything. Those tasks simply mean that I'm a mom, Lyida's mom, and what a blessing that is.

Happy Birthday Lydia. We Love You!
