Back to Bloggin'

Months and months ago there was a tragic accident that happened in the Rose household. Mac, my Macbook that I've had for almost 5 years, had gone the way of the earth. That's right; he died. His screen turned black and that little white light on the cover stopped blinking.  I was of course devastated! My pictures, my files, everything was gone! To make matters worse. I have ONE MORE SEMESTER! I didn't want to buy another computer for ONE MORE SEMESTER! Why did my computer have to die now! Just when I thought all hope was lost Brian informed me he thought my computer might just have a virus. Since he's taken a second job working nights at Weber State's Tech department he has learned a thing or two about cleaning viruses from computers. So one night he rolled up his sleeves, sat down at the table with my lifeless computer and attempted to do a little computer rehabilitation. After some clicking here and typing there and giving me a stern lecture about the importance of running updates and not downloading weird stuff from the internet; Mac starting lighting up again! The rainbow wheel stopped spinning and I was able to access the internet! Luckily, my pictures and files were still accessible (and are now safely backed up on a flash drive and soon to be backed up on an external hard drive). So, Mac lives and I am able to blog once more!

The holidays were wonderful for our little family. Thanksgiving was filled with turkey, trapshooting, and pies. Christmas was a blast! Lydia reminded us what Christmas felt like when we were kids, and the magic of the holidays is even better now that we have a child of our own! Lydia loved her kitchen, and barn that Santa brought her. She looked adorable in her Christmas dress, and she loved playing outside in the snow! She is 15 months old, by the way! I know, she is basically a teenager!! I am doing everything I can to keep her little, but this little independent munchkin of mine insists on growing up. She is talks so much! I'm slightly embarrassed to admit this, but I do want to remember that one of her first words was and is...IPAD. Yes, Lydia knows what the IPAD is and yes she asks for the "IPAD" all the time! Not only does she know what the IPAD is, she can find youtube, the picture gallery, and her SketchPad App we downloaded for her. She got her tech skills from her dad.

A few pics of our holidays...

Rockin' this cute and festive outfit!

Silly String at Midnight at grandma Rose's. Happy 2015!

Happy New Year! Yes Lydia was awake!!! Crazy girl, and yes she was grumpy at this point and went to sleep quickly after this pic was taken.

Lydia playing in the first snowfall of the year!

Lydia is also is fluent in barnyard speak, and now knows what all the barnyard animals say. She dances all the time now to music, and I love it. It is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Brian is still working two jobs, construction during the week and Weber State during the weekends. I don't know how he does it! He is taking this semester off from school since I'm student teaching. That way he'll be around more for Lydia while I finish up with school. He'll pick up classes again this summer.

As for me, I'm gearing up for student teaching! It's finally here!  I'm student teaching in the 4th and 1st grades. It's going to be awesome. 2015 is going to be a good year for our little family I can already tell!
